Tranqui Print Studio makes its home within the community of Artist Studios at The Fountainhead, in the heart of Little River, Miami. By sharing materials, equipment, and studio space, members of the studio are able to exchange practical knowledge, technical skills and their own creative process as professional Artists and Designers, specializing in printed textile design.

Tranqui Prints are a line of bold, vibrant contemporary print designs by Miami artist Nick Mahshie, created with love for his city, its culture, people, and the tropical flora and fauna that define it. These hand-produced limited edition print designs come to life as menswear and unique bags, as well as printed fabric yardage for your interior or apparel needs.

The Story

Tranqui Prints Inc. is the culmination of years working alongside artists in creative communities from Miami to Buenos Aires, New Orleans to Chicago. Inspired by the resourcefulness of artists in these places sharing their expertise, their passion, and their studios with one another, our mission is to extend our own resources and knowledge to each other by offering workshops, facilities, and memberships to interested screen-printing artists.

Committed to developing fresh textile designs with expansive potential for Installations, garment design, and fine art applications, Tranqui Prints Inc. sees itself growing into a fixture of Miami's community of makers, designers, and artists. Born off of Bird Rd. in Southwest Miami, we intend to stand behind our roots and our mission to help Miami artists realize their full creative potential.

Nick Mahshie, born and raised in Miami, holds degrees from two of the best art programs in the U.S., Rhode Island School of Design (RISD, BFA, '07) and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC, MDES, '17). His thesis work in Graduate School was developed under the direction of renowned visual artist, Nick Cave, and his work has been recognized both locally and internationally.

Nick returned to Miami in 2017 to realize his dream of creating an open-access screen printing studio to the creative community from which he has drawn so much inspiration. Tranqui Print Studio provides a space to link our disparate stories through a medium that is bold, repeatable, and open for exploration.
